Replacement fan parts
« on: October 02, 2020, 01:32:49 PM »
Good day
I need a new fan for an MXeIII. and the techdata folks just told us those parts are not on their inventory. Does anyone know where to get these from now?

Part no 50005683? If so, our distributor Jenne is showing 1 on hand. I don't know anything about their ability to get more or if they are discontinued and don't recall seeing anything on Info Channel.

Had this issue once. Fan started making weird noise. Vendor said it would be ~$100 for the fan, and they don't have it.  Then labor was extra. They wanted me to upgrade entire system.. WTF, go on eBay, there are lots of these 3300 units being dump. I think all the 3300 use the same fan. Got a 3300 unit for $60, took the fan out and now I have extra parts.

Fans, RAM, and drives... three things I am embarrassed to propose to 3300 customers due to Mitel markup.

The fans are industry standard 92mm (I think, maybe 80mm, but it's easy to search the part number of the fan itself) that are about $1 each, just have to swap the plug.

The RAM is literally a <$20 piece available from Crucial.

SSD's are <$50 for a replacement drive.

I know the fans are available either straight from the OEM manufacturer or an electronics supply house like Mouser or Arrow, just Google the part number on the fan.

In my bench equipment the fans have been b-crimped to a generic replacement. I always keep the connectors from the originals when doing a customer replacement
