Ringer volume in PC version of MiCollab (softphone)
« on: June 11, 2020, 09:55:06 AM »
We are using version 8.1.111 of the MiCollab application on Windows 10. When the softphone is enabled, and a call comes in, the ringer volume is so low that it is virtually inaudible. If you answer the call, the voices are loud and clear however. But people are missing calls because they didn't hear the softphone ringing.

Any suggestions / thoughts?

Depends on the headsets being used, there is a setting in MiCollab Settings - Call settings - Playback Ringtone which can be set to "All devices" so will ring headset and PC speakers.
also need to check sound options on PC for what devices are available, what is default and what is default communciations device etc.
Most headsets have a software package that can be installed too to allow further modification of headset settings such as Plantronics Hub.

Well, in our case, this turned out to be a version specific problem. I upgraded to MiCollab 9.1.361 (build 239) and it seems to have solved the problem. The ringer now is nice and loud.
