Call Routing and VM

Trying to change the call routing for a few extensions and route to VM.  Ext 1000 needs to fwd to 1100 then go to VM.  It transfers just fine but never goes to VM but when i call 1100  directly it goes to VM just fine.  Here is what i have setup

1000 has First Alt going to a ext 1100

1100 has the same COS and the First Alt is set to go to Voicemail
First Alt is set to this  this   this ... and i tried Last   Last   Last  ...  with no luck as well. 

What am i missing in the transfer??  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks

It's the old "one hop forwarding" rule. You need to have the 2nd alternative for 1000 be voice mail, then when you call 1000, it will ring until the CFNA timer expires, ring the 1st alternative until the System Reroute timer in System Options expires, then it will go to the 2nd alternative destination.
