We have a Mitel 5000 or whatever its called now-a-days.

We had micollab and border gate way, dmz and all...but it never worked right and the mitel iOS/Android app was never that good, calls only came through half the time, you couldn't grab a phone line, page, etc.  It was a gimmicky tool for sales guys and it got tossed after a year of use.

Long story short, is there a smartphone application available for andriod or iOS that allows for the smartphone to become a Mitel 5320, 5330 or 5340 from the outside, without the ultra-complicated setup of the micollab server?

Thanks and stay safe!

Long answer short is no there isn't exactly what you are asking. There is phone manager and a newish CloudLink. It does require some setup - do you have a partner of record or are you the partner for the system?

The 5000 goes by the MiVoice Office 250 these days - assuming the system is on the network it's relatively straightforward to forward a couple of ports and setup a phone to work outside the office without the use of a border gateway or micollab server.
