SIP Caller ID
« on: November 13, 2019, 04:01:17 PM »
Dear All,
I’m using SIP client connected to my Mitel 3300 and the problem is the incoming trunks calls not showing the Caller ID and showing the extensions Caller ID normally.
So, there is an option to enable the caller ID for the trunks calls ?

PLEASE ADVISE!

Thanks

Caller ID is already enabled in the system option. And not showing-up in SIP clients, receiving as “UNKOWN” only in SIP clients.

In Trunk Attributes make sure you have Absorb "0" set in Dial in Trunks Incoming Digit Modification. It may not have a default value set.

Dial In Trunks Incoming Digit Modification - Absorb 0

This would stop calls from coming in entirely if the field was blank... If they calls are coming in and there is no Caller ID, then it is a configuration issue of the trunk or SIP Peer Profile.

I would make a packet capture at the MBG and see if you are getting the information in the invite.

The SIP Peer Profile has a few things like "Prefer From Header for Caller ID", "Use P-Asserted Identity Header" & "Use user=phone" you could experiment with.
