There is a mismatch between the Trunks
« on: June 21, 2019, 08:41:50 AM »
I have a major alarm on of of our PBXs: "There is a mismatch between the Trunks - Used count in the System Capacity form and the trunk count output by the Alarm maintenance command." What is this command, and how do I use it?

The building that uses that PBX uses copper lines for part of the operation. They lost these lines for a half hour today. Does this alarm have anything to do with it?

Other information: We've been getting alarms, then they clear, for the twelve hours. (This happens when it rains, Consolidated has no idea what is causing them.)

Here's one of the alarms:
Alarm details on SCJ(192.168.41.30)
      Date: Fri, 21 Jun 19 07:52:54 -0400

      System alarm status: Major
      Number of categories: 3

      1) Category Name: Digital Links
         Total: 1
         Unavailable %: 100
         Alarm Level: Major
         Minor Threshold: 101
         Major Threshold: 0
         Critical Threshold: 101

      2) Category Name: NETSYNC source
         Total: 1
         Unavailable %: 100
         Alarm Level: Minor
         Minor Threshold: 0
         Major Threshold: 101
         Critical Threshold: 101

      3) Category Name: Trunks
         Total: 43
         Unavailable %: 53
         Alarm Level: Major
         Minor Threshold: 0
         Major Threshold: 10
         Critical Threshold: 100

Any help is appreciated!

Scott

I am not sure I understand the question... You have 43 trunks programmed in the system, and obviously at least one is a digital trunk (likely an ISDN PRI circuit), the remaining trunks are likely SIP or analog trunks.

The alarm you are getting is an indication the digital trunk is going down... 99% of the time this is a carrier issue.

This part is very confusing: "I have a major alarm on of of our PBXs: "There is a mismatch between the Trunks - Used count in the System Capacity form and the trunk count output by the Alarm maintenance command." What is this command, and how do I use it?"

Where are you seeing this, in the system logs? I have never seen this before...
