Ad sync troubleshooting
« on: May 17, 2019, 06:35:54 PM »
I have a customer such that I am certain that their data vendor has not setup TLS access correctly. I can sync with AD unsecure, but not any further. Does anyone know good command line entries to isolate issue? Or, another application to run to show proof?

Thanks, Mitel hasn't been much help

Thanks, that helped. The only thing I saw in the help file was to telnet to the port

johnp,

Have you ever tried PortQry.exe or PortQryUI.exe to test connectivity to an AD or any system for that matter? The UI version just wraps a GUI around it if you don't like command line.

I have also used AD Explorer and ADInsight as well to move around once I BIND to it; I do like SysInternals tools. I have a buddy who uses the ldp.exe tool and seems to like it a lot for troubleshooting AD problems.

Thanks,

TE
