How do i clear out Mitel 3300 major alarm?

The Alarm clear itselfs if the error who generate it is resolved

It depends what triggered the alarm.

If it is the result of framing loss on a PRI you will need to do a DTSTAT CLEAR [PLID] in Maintenance Commands to clear the alarm. It will stay in alarm even if the circuit is back up until manually cleared.

the auto back failed and triggered a major alarm and I am not doing auto back ups anymore

it will normally clear on the next successful auto backup
Ive never tried doing a manual backup to see if it clears, but if that doesn't work it may just be worth pointing to a working FTP server and do 1 more auto backup

A successful manual backup will clear any active backup alarm on the controller

If you are no longer wanting to use a backup schedule or external FTP server I would go into the schedule on the controller and clear the scheduled backup. Otherwise this major alarm will keep coming back.
