MiVoice Business Consoles loosing registration to MiVB
« on: January 16, 2019, 06:56:59 AM »
We have a costumer with several MiVoice Business Consoles on the field. Since short we have experienced that afer a restart of the computer they were not able to register anymore. The error that you see right below is "Transport Channel Down. Directory Service not available." Next to error another one "XXXX Controller not connected".

On the Mitel PBX side on the logs we see that when the application is started it comes online for about 1 tot 2 seconds. Below an example: Time 11:03:27 Source Call Control - Maintenance Description IP Device 1 (Ext:XXXX) at location 01 3 01 001 01 The set has been returned to service. Time 11:03:28 Source Call Control - Maintenance Description IP Device 1 (Ext:XXXX) at location 01 3 01 001 01 The set is out of service due to loss of communication.

We got this fixed by disabling Windows Defender followed by a restart of the computer.

I find it odd that Windows Defender so I was wondering if anyone has experienced something similar.

MiVB 8.0.3.17 and the consoles are running on version 8.0.3.10

It seems that this was due to the fact that on these systems the phonebook directory is being saved on the network. This happened every time they started the application and the network share was not yet online. Opening the share on windows to bring it online prior starting the MiVB console software made it possible for the application to load normally.
