Ring Group ?
« on: January 09, 2019, 09:20:47 AM »
created a ring group for the main line of branch A. When someone calls the main line it rings employees both lines. In the scenario where an employee is on line one helping a customer and they need to call back office but another call comes into the main line. The employee cannot use their second line until someone picks up that call. Is there a way around this somehow? Without me adding a third line.

thanks

There is a CoS option called "Busy phone when any line in use" which would prevent the second call from ringing the handset.

If I am understanding you correctly, make a conference call might work. When you initiate the conferece call it places the caller on hold and you get dial tone. You call call whoever you need and just not join a callers then retrieve the original call after you've asked your question, etc.

You could add another single line key DN that the could use for an outgoing line
