Hello!

I just inherited 2 Mitel 5000 system's and I am trying to get connected to the DB programming software. I am able to load the software properly and get connected to the systems but I am not able to launch DB programming. I get the following error:

"Unable to start the session. The required version of DB Programming is not installed"

I have reinstalled and uninstalled the software. Right clicked as admin, etc.

I am using the following software version:

System Administration & Diagnostics - 6.3.52.0
DB Programming Software - 6.3.7.52

System #1

HX Controller (v6.0 SP2)
Call Processing version 6.0.11.95

System #2

HX Controller (v6.0 SP1 PR1)
Call Processing version 6.0.10.77


Any thoughts??

It's self-explanatory. The DB programming software needs to match the system software version.

Thanks for the reply and sorry for the noob question. Does the DB software need to match the HC Controller or the call processing version?

Those are the same thing.
The DB Programming is the more correct version number that you are looking for.

My recommendation would be to go to Mitel website and download all the DB plugins for version 6.0 that are available.
You can just install them over the other versions as they do not cause a conflict.

Also for future upgrades you can do the same thing and just install the newest version without doing any uninstall stuff.

Whoever you go the programming software from needs to get the latest 6.0 DB Studio Programming Plugin for Mitel System Administration and Diagnostics... close the program, run the installer, and reopen and you should be all set.
