Recurring Meetings and Personal ID / Access Code
« on: August 17, 2018, 01:45:54 PM »
Hi All -

1.  By default, recurring meetings can be put out to a limit of 6 months.  My company wants this disabled or extended, but I don't see where to change this?

2.  Also, my company does not prefer to use Personal IDs so when they call in, it says "Please enter your personal ID...If you need to enter an access code, press star".  Often times people start dialing the access code and don't hear to hit star.  Can personal ID be disabled?  In settings, I see "Prompt For Access Code First"...will that fix that?  I can't make any changes now while in business hours so will test tonight.

Thanks!!!

1.  I found the solution under "User Defaults".  It looks like 156 weeks is the max.    :D

And #2 is exactly what you think... "Prompt For Access Code First" will swap when the system expects the Access code and the Personal ID. To my knowledge personal ID cannot be disabled.

2. Yes, I change this one otherwise users are confused because they do not know they have a personal ID, they are expecting the standard Access Code only, like any other teleconferencing login.

When you tick the "prompt for access code first'  it change only the order of the message : please enter access code , then please enter your Personal ID

I don't think personal id can be deleted either, but the prompt likely could be modified to not mention it

If you just alter the order it's all good - it says "enter an access code and press #", it then mentions the personal access code, but the users aren't confused if it's in this order because they understand what the first bit is for.
