MiVoice Business Express
« on: August 16, 2018, 10:35:31 AM »
I am building a Virtaul MiVoice Business Express and I have licensed the MSL and the MiVoice Business tab shows the PBX side is addressed and I can ping the address of the PBX.

When I browse to the PBX address it times out.

In the MSL, make sure to add the network of the PC that you are using as trusted. In my environment, the virtual network is in a different address space. I add our default VLAN as X.0.0.0/8 to make sure that all of our remote sites are able to access the PBX programming. The router will be the default gateway that your Virtual uses to get out of the virtual network.

From memory there is a configuration wizard that needs to be run before you can connect to the MiVB blade?

Local networks are in otherwise I not have been able to get to server manager.  I will look at the wizard.  I built an Express in the Lab but I didn't use the wizard to do the configuration.

I will run through the wizard.

Ran the Wizard and still can't browse to the IP of the PBX.

Do you have at least one IP licence assigned?

No users are built so No IP Licenses in use.

The system is first built in the lab and then moved to customer site.  I am building the Express on customer site and then will restore the data from the built lab system.

I just logged into my lab system and now can't access the PBX side in the lab either.

Is the MiVB blade running?  If it does not meet the min specs I don't think the blade will start (2 xCPU from memory)?

Oh, it will start if below the minimum specs... I built a MiVBX in Virtualbox on an old 2nd gen i3 laptop with 4GB of ram once... it worked fine on the bench. These are just VMs, Mitel makes it sound like they are super special but they are actually pretty flexible.

I ran into the OP's problem once before though, but I can't remember what the solution was....

I went back to my lab system and changed the IP's and saved as an .OVA to deploy to customers VM.
