Bulk Update Zone ID
« on: July 24, 2018, 12:00:27 AM »
Hello All,

I have 3 sites which I need to configure Zone ID’s correctly and I wanted to know if there is a way to bulk updates base extensions with the new Zone ID configuration. I cannot do anything fancy right now, like automatic zone assignment per connected port.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks!

Use the Station Attributes form
if they are consecutive entries been changed to the same value you can click change and define how many entries to change
otherwise you can then export to a csv, make your changes and then re-import your csv

Some people report issues doing imports via the User and Services Configuration form, so unless you accept the risks, I would avoid importing into there

Hey Ghost,

Thank you for the advice. I've inherited an environment which I'm trying to clean up and haven't needed to do these kind of wide changes in the past, this is good info!

Thanks once again for the help!

I have a follow-up question. When I do the export, can I cut out all the records I don't need to modify, updates the ones left and import that short CSV file, or should I just leave it all there, modify the ones I need and import it all back in?

Thanks!

Yes you can cut out (remove) what you don't want or need to change
