Busy Lamp on Mitel Superset 420
« on: June 15, 2018, 09:32:11 AM »
We recently moved a phone from one office to another - this phone is the "controlling" phone for a hunt group.  Since the phone move the extension lamp stays lit on all the phones in this circular hunt group.  Anyone know how I can turn the lamp off on all the other extensions until there is actually a call on that line?  They said it's annoying always seeing that line lit, thinking there is an active call when there's not.

This is quite odd... what is the output of the maintenance command "LOCATE FEATURE EXTENSION xxxx" where xxxx is the extension of the 420 set?  Is the 420 set working normally? Are the keys on the other sets just PKM/BLF keys of that extension?

LOCATE FEATURE EXTENSION 2323 returns
Card Type : DNI Line
Circuit Location : 6 1 10 1 1
Extension : 2323
Active Features :
Service Level: Full
Zone ID: 1
Extension 2323 is in an office that no one sits in, and never will, the phone works.  2323 and 7 other numbers are in a circular hunt group.  It's odd that when I look at the other extensions in Multiline Set keys I don't 2159 listed.  However I did look at one of the other extensions 2394 under User and Device Config and noticed under the KEYS tab it has *##2323 as button 2 NO RING as a SINGLE line, and the other extensions are listed as Key System.  When I look at 2323 in User and Device Config and look at the KEYS tab, it shows button 2 *##2369 as a SINGLE line with all the other extensions in that circular hunt group as Key System.  2369 is one of those in that multiline set key.   Scratching my head, I don't know how to get the light to go out on the button next to 2323 on all the other phones

Try this command: stat MLS 6 1 10 1

See what the state of the actual button is.

Do an export of all your hunt groups.
Then, in Excel, do a search for the button extension number.
Find out what all the hunt groups are that the line is in.
Then do a locate feature on all the hunt groups to see if any features are applied to them.
