How to make Mitel MSL SFTP backups to external ?

What do you need to do to get Mitel Linux backups via SFTP(ssh) to an external location ?
Is there freeware that can do this ?
I know you can backup to another Mitel Linux server or file server and usb.
But I want schedule it and it needs to go to an external location.

The 3300 can do a scheduled backup, but it's FTP and not SFTP.
I suspect that if you need to do it via SFTP then you'll need to use a two step process.
1) scheduled backup to a local share.
2) Set up a cron job to SFTP it to your external destination.
