I want to thank everyone involved, sarond, Tech Electronics, and Magnus for all your input. We've got the system working as desired and we can consider this case closed. Again I truly appreciate all your help.

Apparently I have one more question. After adding the new line it only rings on one extension. We have six extensions and we would like it to ring on two of the other extensions. Where do I change that setting?

Did you create a new trunk group for the 3rd line? The answer point will be in there.

Normally you would create an extension list of some sort (normally hunt group list) add you members into it, then create a hunt group and add the extension list as the member.

There is probably more for you to do but this should give you some direction.

I created a new trunk, placed that line in there, updated the keymap all the phones use. When the phones rings on the main line all phones ring audibly. When someone calls in on line three only one of the extensions ring audibly

What is the day/night ring-in of the trunk group? I am going to assume a single extension.

You will need to create a hunt group and extension list as mentioned above and then set the ring-in position to the hunt group.

Just set the Day/Night ring to be the same as the other Trunk group

The issue with that is that trunk one needs to have all six extensions ring trunk to only needs to have three of the six ring

Ok
Then you need to make a new call path.
Start with following the logic of the Trunk1 Day Ring. If it goes to a CRA to time out immediately to-->Hunt Group (Hunt group has a extension list with the extensions you wish to ring) Then the recall timer goes to a CRA-->CRA times out immediately to the general Mailbox.

That is the way I usually program mine. The main reason is that the CRA breaks the system recalls.

If it is to function the same way with just 3 less people then you only need to make the second CRA and Hunt Group.
The CRA will point to your new hunt group.
Create the Hunt group and copy the existing one. Then change the extension list.

Should take about 15 minutes or less

Thanks for the reply magnus,
I follow the logic that you're explaining, although not being familiar with the Mitel phone system it's definitely going to take more than 15 minutes. I will try to dig around tonight through the system to see if I can locate how the trunk is set up to ring through.
Again I'd like to thank the contributors for having the patience to follow through on this

Just an fyi if you are not familiar.
If you double click on an entry it will bring you to that same spot.
Also, make sure you are viewing in Classic mode. All the symbols match and it makes learning where things are a bit easier

Also pressing 'F1' (help) in any of the forms is very useful.

I was able to create that call path on the new line. I appreciate the help that you have given. Also sarond, the F1 feature was very helpful. Thanks to all that helped this situation come to a close.
