Can you browse to http://192.168.1.2 and get the Mitel login page?

1) Connect a serial cable to the RS232 port. Open hyperterminal and connect with 9600,8,N,1.

2) Type vlan_off and press return.

3) After 30 seconds you will be able to connect to the RTC address through ESM via the layer 2 ports.

This command will not survive a reboot

Also get rid of the leading 00 in the IP address field.

It could be that port is VLAN tagging, not sure why vlan_off does not work for you although I never tried it myself.  Just come across this forum while searching which is worth a try?

That chassis is old and we are throwing them in the bin so I hope you didn't pay that much for it.  Might be worth contacting the seller as they must have tested this working prior to selling it to you?

2003 vintage means you won't be able to install anything close to a current software release on it since it probably only has 256mb of RAM in it. Current software requires 512mb, though any controller made in the last year or 2 probably has 1Gb. Best you can load on it is 9.0.3.x, if you can find it, since you can't even pull that from the Software Dowloads site on Mitel Connect. If you're a Mitel partner, you should be able to get a demo kit that's actually able to run the current version for cheap.
