Multicast paging to axis C2005
« on: February 21, 2018, 03:14:40 PM »
Hey everyone, we have a school with a Mitel 5000 HX, they want to add Axis IP Speakers. We have never set up paging over IP before.  I know in programming you cannot add SIP extensions or SIP trunks to page zones. So not quite sure how this could work if they want to page internal phones and overhead speakers.

Look at Valcom. They make IP page gateway that should allow you to accomplish.

telcoengineer,

Call Axis and ask then if they have some sort of audio bridge to go from the MiVO-250 600 ohm Page Port or maybe a CO Trunk Port into their network. That way you can use the Page port or the Trunk port as usual AND add in any phones for those areas not covered by the speakers.

I know the Valcom IP Paging system has this so there is no reason Axis wouldn't have a similar device for their equipment.

Thanks,

TE
