Call accounting
« on: February 06, 2018, 03:10:07 PM »
My customer is using a RSI call accounting software and they are getting reports.

Those reports do not include the account code which is mandatory for long distance calls, this makes it difficult to charge the correct department for the boardroom phone.

Is there somewhere obvious that I am missing to add those?

That depends on at what point in the call you need to enter the account code.
If you dial the number, hear a tone, then enter the account code, that means the carrier is handling it.  You won't see that in the Mitel records.  That isn't something you can change.

If you dial the account code first, then the number, that means the Mitel is handling the account codes.  In that case, check your SMDR options to be sure it's enabled.

If the account codes are in the SMDR stream, remember you may need to manually adjust where the software looks for it in the call record. Many options in SMDR can change the length and position of various fields depending on what is enabled or disabled.
