Converting 3300 MXe3 from a single HDD to raid controller?
« on: July 26, 2023, 01:09:46 PM »
Has anyone ever converted a system from a single hard drive to adding a raid-controller and doing reduntant drives? I'm sure there would be downtime but I've just never attempted this process before and want to avoid any gotchas or hurdles.

Thanks in advance.

The only gotcha might be if you don't check what partition is used. Basically I would get a backup, install new raid controller, install software one drive 1, I would do a boot install if older otherwise the initial install from tech handbook. Boot up, license and restore. Add second drive and let it rebuild.
