Never too late right?

Was able to get Embedded 3300 to send Voicemail Caller ID by enabling these 3 options in CoS:

Display ANI/ISDN Calling Number Only
Display ANI/DNIS/ISDN Calling/Called Number
Display Caller ID on Multicall/Keylines

Kevin,

Glad to see you joining on here.  You've always been very helpful when working with you in Real-Time, and I'm sure you will provide a lot of benefit to these forums!

Cheers,

I would love LMI Rescue - it's just too darn expensive per seat!

I really wish Mitel would include a piece in AWC/MCA that had the old InterTel Remote Support Tool - even if it was a licensable add-on.

What version of UCA are you using?  I had issues with earlier releases and Auto Attendants.  Haven't experienced symptoms or reports like that in a while though.

If your server is in communication with the AMC via ServiceLink, you can download the upgrade through MSL under the Status/Blades menu's.  You can usually find the release notes link there as well.

If you need to download the CD's/DVD's, or to access Release Note/Engineering Guides, then you will need a valid login to Mitel's website @ www.mitel.com

If you have access to a Teleworker/Mitel Border Gateway server, you could always use the TNA [Teleworker Network Analyzer] on a PC in the 192.X problem subnet, type in the UCA server as the Teleworker IP address, and test the ports.  This will tell you that your ports are open/closed/timeout.

If they are open, the next step I would take is a wireshark.  Mirror on of your ports running the problem UCA clients and capture the info.  Place the test chats/calls, and verify if you see SIP data in your wireshark from that Client PC.  See if the data is actually traversing the subnets/network now that you verified through TNA and Juniper that the ports are open.

MAS 4.0 and UCA 5.0 are both available for download/upgrade from Mitel.

Included in UCA 5.0 are the new clients.  There is a new Desktop Client, Web Client Portal, and iOS/Android Client [available on their respective AppStore/Google Play].

I'd have to review the MAS 4.0 Engineering guidelines to provide such specific details/recommendations.  I'd also have to know the configuration of each of your MAS servers [i.e. the blades on each, and if they are LAN only, DMZ, Network Edge, etc.]

Do access UCA from outside of your office?

UCA is now supported with a bunch of additional apps in MAS 4.0.

If your UCA is Stand-Alone you can move it into and co-house existing MAS 4.0 server now.  If you do not have a MAS 4.0 server, or wish your UCA to remain standalone, you can just upgrade the MSL and UCA blade.

oo thats a good warning about DN's clashing from Trunks and Extensions.  I'll have to note that one.

Yea the app supports Chat.  The new version is already on the market.  I've got it functioning up to the point that it wants to work.  :)   I mean that I need to upgrade my MBG to the latest of v7.1 I think it is, in order to support the new Chat connectors in Web Proxy and MBG.   So minor caveat, requires latest of MBG and UCA.

Is the doc confidential or can you post it on here?

You can view the Logs in your AppData/Roaming/Mitel/UCA.log file.

Try logging in and then looking at what is says in your UCA.log file.  This should point you in the right direction.

If you would like, post the log here.

To get officelink working, you need a Dynamic Extension Lic on the 3300 (basically a User Lic and an External Hot Desk User Lic).

Your cell phone needs to be logged in as an EHDU and then when you select to call a contact via Officelink, your smartphone sends a data packet back to the UCA Server which in turn tells the 3300 to call your Cell phone and when you answer the call, the 3300 makes a call to your contact on the corporate trunks.

This means that the call is originating on the 3300 so no cell phone call charge to you.

Actually Mav, I have to disagree with you on a technicality. You don't have to have a Dynamic Extension to get officelink to work. If your deskphone is in a Personal Ring Group, even if its the only thing in that personal ring group, the iPhone officelink will pickup and use your deskphone to make the call. So technically you don't need External Hotdesk to use officelink, just officelink isn't very helpful without it.

It took a call to Mitel to convince our Sale team that thats how it worked...

This is not the way the OP is describing it though.  UCA for iPhone can be used to control your deskphone, but in order to Make Field calls from your iPhone via UCA you need UC Mobile or EHDU.  I use it via UC Mobile personally.

I'm hoping they make it a native SIP Softphone client that you can make data calls back to the UCA/TW server with soon!!
