I just tested V2Win's programming. I used a non-prime line for testing.
It works. (Has no one ever tried this before?
)
You lose some features such as redial, internal dialing and number correction before dialing. But this works. Think Fax Machines(!)
Here how it's done:
1) find an unused number to use as a speed dial
2) Program a system speed dial with an actual number of either 9, 8 or 0 depending on what your outside line access is. Tick the "Overrides Toll Control" box and save.
3) In the Associated Directory Numbers form enter the directory number of the phone you want to auto dial. Select "Hot Line" in the drop down box. In the associated number field put in the system speed dial that you programmed in step 2.
You should now be able to pick up the line and have it auto ring out.
