Polycom ip6000
« on: January 23, 2017, 12:26:12 PM »
Anyone had any luck configuring the IP6000 to use as SIP on 5000?  This is a clients existing phone and I haven't been able to replace the settings.  It looks like I can view current settings from display at MENU/STATUS/LINES, but can't change them there.  I know there's a web interface but I can't login there as Administrator pass 456 or Polycom pass 456, but 456 seems to work from keyboard menu.  Theoretically there's a doc at the Mitel SIP COE, but I've never been able to actually find any of those docs (11-4949-00157 or 11-4940-00158).

Defaulting the station should restore default passwords. I've only programmed one from the web interface.

Dwayneg,

Have you tried:

UN: Polycom
PW: blank <-- Someone in our area uses this password

To change through the menu on the one I have it is.

1. Press Menu Key
2. Select Settings
3. Select Advanced
4. Type in your current Password: 456
5. Select Admin Settings
6. From here you have a few choices
  a. Change Admin Password
  b. Reset Local (Phone) configuration
  c. Reset Web Configuration
7. Select Yes to confirm reset

You may be able to get in with the User password.

UN: Polycom
PW: 123

Thanks,

TE
