« on: July 13, 2016, 04:16:33 AM »
Hi, I used third party SIP vendor to route a did number provide to them forward to our PBX via SIP, I think they are using G729 code..and  mITEL 3300 USING g711..i guess.

there is no sounds when call to that did number...and I see transport or codec mismatch on mitel log..how can I resolve ?

The codec is negotiated during the call setup over SIP. the MCD works on that principle and does support G.729 as it does G.711 and both A or U (mu) law.

To run packet capture in a newer releases lookup maintenance command SIP Tcpdump On/Off in the built in help system.

In order to run G.729 you have to have compression licences on the system otherwise G.729 isn't available and wont be offered in the SDP.
