Calls forwarded to cell phone coming back to internal VM

I know I have done this before, but I have a customer with a 3300 Release 7.2 that wants to forward their calls to their cell phone and if they are not answered to go to the cell phone voicemail, if they manually reject the call on the cell phone it goes to the cell phone voicemail.

I know there is a class of service option that controls this, I thought it was "Disable Call Reroute Chaining on Diversion" but that isn't the right option because toggling it either way has no effect.

They are just forwarding via the blue key on a 5340 and pressing activate.

Call Forward No Answer timer on the phone and the trunks is what I usually looked at.

f they manually reject the call on the cell phone it goes to the cell phone voicemail.

This should just be a function of the cell phone won't it? And when the cell phone's voicemail answers, the pbx will consider the call answered so the above timer won't be in play.

Yeah, but when they forward it the cell phones rings about 30-40 seconds, when it's not forwarded they only want it to ring for 15 seconds... I thought there was a COS option that would basically ignore the Call Reroute programming if you had the phone forwarded? Am I crazy?

Not going to say there isn't, but I haven't heard of it before. I could think of tons of uses for it though.

I don't think there is.
But...
Here's a hack for that:
Put the users phone in its own tenant.
Set it up so it has a different COS for day/night mode with different timers.
Forward phone to cell phone in night mode.
Have user put his phone/tenant in night mode when he wants it forwarded.

I'd only do this as a last option.  It would be a lot of work and you can't offer it to everyone.
I'd have the user call his carrier and ask them to shorten the forwarding time then you can adjust your forwarding time accordingly. 
You won't get 15 seconds but you will get it shorter.

After that I'd tell the user "That's just the way it is."

Could this be done with EHDU and personal presence? I know if you have a twinned number on a MUDG the CFNA timer that applies is for the highest number,  but does the system use it if that extension is absent?

Probably not... But found the easiest solution was just to remove the Call Reroute to voicemail and have the phone ring on another phone when not forwarded. Turned out they didn't want the Mitel voicemail at all.
