Clustering 3 systems

We have 3 sites with 3300s. 2 sites have be clustered for some time and we have just added the 3rd site.

The 3rd site has clustered with the other 2 sites, but we are struggling to call across.

The first 2 sites are on the same software level, but the 3rd is on a slightly higher level. Do all sites need to be on the same level?

No, they do not need to be at the same level...

Can you give us a little more info on what the "struggles" are, how your connected (Direct IP Trunks or the old way, connection type like VPN or MPLS, etc), and if a full sync is working and what errors you get are?

Full sync is working.

We're using IP Networking.

When we do STATE XNET ALL IP it says out of service

The network is transparent with no internal firewalls

We have got the systems sharing data and get no SDS errors, we do however get this error when looking into the Maintenance Logs.

I am now suspecting the routers between sites to be modifying the packets in some way but I will confirm with the IT company tomorrow. As VisualSpirit says, there are no firewalls, just routers on an MPLS.

Sounds similar to the problems you get with SIP Alog on routers when using SIP.

Dumb question, do you have an Enterprise level license (System Type) on the new controller, or a Stand-Alone?

I understand your using "IP Networking", but are you using IP/XNET or Direct IP Route networking?

I've had that problem a couple of times.
It was always that I screwed up the IP address in the XNET forms.

I concur with Ralph here. If you have consoles and experience issues it definitely might be in the ICP/PBX Networking page.

Also if before there were only 2 Mitels in a cluster it might also be that in the previous setup both Mitels used only 1 line in the IP/XNET Profiles page, where they referred to eachother. In the new setup I would keep it simple as in attached screenshot.
