Multi phone ringing

i have a User that has both a softphone ( MiCollab ) and a hardphone (5330e). both phones are ACD enabled.  i need to be able to ring both phones at the same time. my vendor is telling me that there is not a good way to do this since both are ACD enabled, that does not make sense to me.  any thoughts?

Are the softphone and hardphone part of the same multi-device user group?

If not.. and they have their own ACD Agent IDs --> it shouldn't cause an issue.

i have tried to put them in the same group and it will not let me, also the same user uses both phones, they have seperate extensions but the same ACD agent ID is used on both, just not at the same time.
