Multiple numbers sharing a mailbox
« on: June 25, 2008, 04:53:59 AM »
We have 3 main office numbers for each of our sites.  We have 3 x 3300 controllers and each on has one of these main office numbers on it.  We only have one switchboard.  The switchboard answers all of these 3 numbers.

On night mode we really want all of these 3 main numbers to go to the same mailbox and message.  Is this possible?  Our supplier doesn't seem to be able to figure it out!

Thanks

Are you using an embedded VM?  If yes, then you you have a problem.
The Mitel always wants to tell the VM to drop the caller into the mailbox of the Extention that was originally called.   I've been able to do some magic using ACD but not with the embedded VM.

Ralph is right, embeded  voicemail would be very tricky. Apart from using the ACD path, you can also use a Hunt Group, with the group type of NameTag, which is then forwarded to voicemail pilot number.

The NameTag hunt group strips the original dialled number and sends the hunt group details instead to any destination including voicemail.

Didn't know you could do that with a name tag hunt group.  Learned something new.
Still leaves a problem with embedded vm.
Perhaps he could route the other sites after hours to a Tree that gives the opetion to press 1 to leave a vm.  Then you could send the caller to the vm box of his choice.
