Trouble with voice mail boxes between 2 nodes.
« on: October 07, 2015, 04:46:42 PM »
I have two 5000's networked together.  I have done all the imports and exports between the two.  All the voice mail boxes reside at one of the nodes in their Enterprise Messaging vm.  When a call comes in at the node with no voice mail boxes some calls work just fine and some get a message " You have reached an invalid extension".
It seems that the ones getting the invalid extension message are newer remote vm boxes.

Make sure they have the correct System Forwarding Path to the EM.

Chuck,

So if I am understanding this correctly the site that is providing the message, "You have reached an invalid extension", is the one that doesn't have the Mailboxes, but it does have some sort of Call Routing Announcement or Auto Attendant and someone is trying to dial an extension from it; is that correct?

If that is the case then you most likely just need to create an Extension ID on the system without mailboxes for those that do not have them and it should solve your problem.

Thanks,

TE
