Hi,

I need to configure a 3300 with tenanting to avoid some users can make calls using determinated trunks.

Users on office X can call any user extension and use tk2, tk4 and tk5 over Tenant 2.
Users on office Y can call any user extension and use Tk1,tk3 and tk6 over Tenant 3.

Ext. 100 must be capable of making and reciving calls from tk1 to t6 over Tenant 1.

I have already configured it with 3 tenants.
---------------------------------------------------
Tenant 1:

Permissions Granted
  Sets:    2,3
  Trunks:    2,3
  Attendants:    2,3

Permissions Acquired
  Sets:    2,3
  Trunks:
  Attendants:
 ----------------------------------------------------
Tenant 2:
Permissions Granted
  Sets:    1,3
  Trunks:    2
  Attendants:    2

Permissions Acquired
  Sets:    1,3
  Trunks:    1,2
  Attendants:    1,2

------------------------------------------------
Tenant 3:

Permissions Granted
  Sets:    1,2
  Trunks:    3
  Attendants:    3

Permissions Acquired
  Sets:    1,2
  Trunks:    1,3
  Attendants:    1,3

-------------------------------------------------

I did configure Analog Trunk Assignment with every Tenant

Tk1 Tenant3
Tk2 Tenant2
Tk3 Tenant3
Tk4 Tenant2
Tk5 Tenant2
Tk6 Tenant3

And finally configured Multiline IP Set Configuration with the correct Tenant.

I can make internal calls between tenants, Tenant 2 I can only use tk2, tk4,tk5 and Tenant 3 Tk1,tk3,tk6 so far everything looks good however when I try to make a call on ext 100 I cannot use any trunk it shows an error.

What can be hapenning?

Thank you in advanced.

Unfortunantly, I don't have a lot of time to dig into this but let me try a quick stab at this:

Nothing jumps out at me as to what is wrong.
So here is what I would do to start troublshooting:
I like to break things up into different section - meaning I'd put each group of trunks and each group of phones in their own Tenant.  i.e.
The trunks that tenant 2 are supposed to access put in tenant 22 then grant ten 2 access to ten 22
The trunks that tenant 3 are supposed to access put in tenant 33  then grant ten 3 access to ten 33

Leave ext 100 in ten 1: grant access to ten 2,22, 3,33
Grant ten 22 access to 2 and 1 and ten 33 access to ten 3 and 33.
Then if you want, you can grant the phones access to each other.  ie. ten 2 to 3, 3 to 2, 2 to 1, 1 to 2, 3 to 1 and 1 to 3.
That way you can control access to the trunks yet still allow access to each other.  It also gives you a little more opportunity to troubleshoot.

Be sure tenant 1 has access to all other tenants i.e.  2,22 & 3,33

Tenant 1:

Permissions Granted
  Sets:    2,3
  Trunks:    2,3
  Attendants:    2,3

Permissions Acquired
  Sets:    2,3
  Trunks:
  Attendants:

The trunks for tenant 1 are not acquired

Yes, it is not allowing to have access for trunks in tenant 2 and 3.

However I have configure them for permissions.

What could be the problem??

I think in tenant 2 and 3 you have to give access to tenant 1

For tenants 2 and 3 do you want them to have access to trunks on tenant 1?

No, but there are not trunks using tenant 1  (T1-T6).

Tk1 Tenant3
Tk2 Tenant2
Tk3 Tenant3
Tk4 Tenant2
Tk5 Tenant2
Tk6 Tenant3

Making more tests I realised it is working just taking direct trunk "Individual Access Trunk". However the 6 trunks are in a Trunk Group 1 circular.

I have acces to external call by dialing "9".

Now the problem is if I dial a number, the system uses any idle trunk no matter if it is in a diferent tenant the system takes it to make the call.

How can I fix it??

I forgot to tell you this happens with IP phones 5302 (SIP).
release: 8.0.9.18

I made more tests with a 5212 and it works fine taking the Trunk Group 1 dialing "9"or usin "Individual Access Trunk".

Try using the interconnect restriction table.
Assign ten 1 phones  interco 11
Assign ten 2 phones  interco 12
Assign ten 3 phones  interco 13
Do this in the IP multiline set assignment form.

Assign ten 1 Trunks to interco 21
Assign ten 2 trunks to interco 22
Assign ten 3 trunks to interco 23
Do this in the trunk assignment form

Next in the interconnect assignment form:
Restrict 11 from 22 and 23
Restrict 12 from 21 and 23
Restrict 13 from 21 and 22
This restricts the tenants from using each other lines.

Restrict 21 from 21,22,23
Restrict 22 from 21,22,23
Restrict 23 from 21,22,23
This restricts a trunk from connecting to another trunk and locking it up.

Now be sure your operator  and voice mail is in Tenant 1.

Then you should be working ok.
