Extra numbers for marketing

Hi all,

I thought I remembered a way with the 5000 to create "extra" phone numbers for marketing purposes that could be used to track the number of calls about a promotion.  Other than pointing a DID at a STAR/CRA/HG, is there a better way to do this?

What are you using to report? CSM? SMDR?  Do you already have DIDs for these purposes?  If so you should be able to count calls per DID.

CSM.  I have spare DID's I could use, but nothing has been allocated as of yet.

CSM can report based on DIDs, so you don't need to do anything special.  There's already a standard report call CALLS BY DID...run that and you'll see how many people called each number.
