Inbound call from PSTN with "Anonymous" as Caller ID is failing
« on: December 02, 2014, 12:07:49 PM »
Call from PSTN to Mitel 3300 with caller id in FROM header "Anonymous" is failing. The TO header looks fine and i am expecting the call should route to the respected extension connection to Mitel 3300 based on TO header.

Any suggestions on how to make this work?
Attached is the topology.

If this is SIP trunk then there is a setting in the SIP Peer Profile that can be set to NOT allow/accept anonymous calls.

SIP Peer Profile Assignment by incoming DID
You need to fill this in for Anonymous calls to work.

Sorry for the a very late reply. I tried the one you mentioned above. no luck. The call fails when the incoming call comes with  "anonymous" in FROM header.

Please take a TCPDUMP from the MBG server and post PCAP file here.

You can do this from MBG/Satus/Diagnostics/packet trace

Great this works with small modification on what you said. I have added the DID range in same navigation you mentioned instead on 0* and it works like charm.

Thanks  pmhaynes :)
