Pickup groups
« on: October 17, 2014, 07:12:09 AM »
Hi All,

Im sure this is a newbie post but please bear with me.

I have a Mitel 3300 system with (mainly) 5220 IP Phones.

We have about 30 phones on one floor, that are spread across 3 departments, these departments all have their own pickup groups.

However, sometimes a call will come into a department that isnt answered and it would be handy that another department could on the odd occasion pick the phone up, other than dropping the entire floor to one pickup group, is there a way this can be achieved?

Thanks,

Gavin.

If you know the extension that is ringing you could use the 'directed call pickup' feature code to pickup a call on an individual extension.

Thank you, that sounds like it could work.

Do you happen to know how I find the feature code for this function.

I think default is *54. Check page two of the "Feature Access Codes" form, and look for "Call Pickup - Directed".
