I believe version of MCD 4 SP1 can go on the mxe3
you need to go to this version then convert the database, then you can upgrade to MCD 6

I think MCD4 SP4 was made for the MXe III.

You must use 4.0SP4 as that is the only load that can run on a MXe III and has the ability to run the older OPS database. With that release you can migrate the database on move on the the latest and greatest.  :)

Thank you for your advice!

I the current way is:
1. MXEII installed 9.x After  back into the original backup file
2. To upgrade to 4.0 _SP4 MXE II
3. MXE II to upgrade to 6.0 _SP3 again
4. 6.0 SP3 MXE III back MXE II backup file

Thank you all!

Which LX chassis is it? The 512MB variety (part number 50004942) can run the current releases. If it's the 256MB version, yes, you'll need to go up to 9.0 and swap in an MXE-II. The MXE-II runs 512MB as well, so you can get up to current software without yet another controller swap to the III, unless you have a specific need, like you want to use the SATA drives or an SSD.

Should say this:
Company has a MXE II test machine, will be moved down his version
9. X, to upgrade to 4.0 SP4 again!
Now to this all OK!
But in version to continue to rise in the following information:
The ICP being upgraded is not in SDS mode.
Please migrate the system to sync using SDS before continuing
the upgrade.
Do you have elder treated such messages?

In MCD 4 Mitel introduced a new database structure referred to as GDM or ( RDN with SDS). Release 3 to 9 software can't be configured in this new database model so what you have to do is go from Release 9 to MCD 4 ( SP4 is the best load to use ) and then turn on GDM. Once the system is at MCD 4 using the GDM database you can upgrade all the way to MCD 7 in one jump. Note there are help files in MCD 4 that will step you through the process of turning on GDM. I suggest your review them.
