New Features in 3300 Rel 4.2 upgrade ?

We're going to talk to our sales rep about upgrading our system. I'm don't know that we would go from 4.2 to 6 directly.

But I am curious from a tech perspective what enhancements or benefits we will like or
what we might loose that could be an issue as well ?

You can finally get the transfer to voicemail button that has been missing for so long. Firefox support is there too. Audit logs to see who did what. SIP improvements. I sure there are others, just can't think of it now.

Is there a reason that you are worried about going to 6? It is really stable from my experience.

We are the only Mitel customer for our vendor and the rep is not the most informed, I imagine due to lack of contact with the system.

I'm not worried about an upgrade, just curious about the changes to expect.

Would think you would want to go to the latest to at least extend the amount of time that the system is supported. If you have access to a Release 6 system and you go into the help files it usually starts at a page that says what is new in this release. Also if you are doing the on-line upgrade self study training courses, the training usually points out what is new.
