Help with QSIG to Avaya CM
« on: October 11, 2013, 09:47:20 AM »
Does anyone have the Avaya DS1 Circuit Pack and Trunk Group settings for (ISO) QSIG?

Using MXe E1 module at MCD 6.0

We kinda have this working but with call forwarding issues.

Any help would be appreciated!

What are your forwarding issues?

Ralph, thanks for your reply, I'm running QSIG E1 and not T1 and would prefer ISO.

We are connected to an old Avaya system with voice mail on another MCD system.

The issue we have is when calling (Avaya) extensions with call forward on busy - this will send the call back-up the QSIG link - we receive a very large QSIG message (I have the this somewhere) that is not understood by MCD and results in an error message displayed in the maintenance window. Thinking the Avaya is including call forwarding reasons codes or similar that need disabling.

That's all I have for the Avaya.

In the Mitel there is a setting in the system options form there is a setting for "DPNSS/QSIG Diversion Enabled"
In newer software loads this is found in the form "Shared System Options".
Try playing with that setting.  If it's set to yes change it to No.  etc.
