Mitel 3300 Trunk anti tromboning
« on: August 27, 2013, 09:05:07 PM »
Do we have something to program to have anti tromboning active on MCD 6.0?

Maybe Route Optimization, but from what I read it doesn't seem to do anti tromboning.
Thanks.

Hi,

You're right. Route Optimization helps find the "best path" for a call when multiple MCDs are in a cluster.

In your case, I guess users dial external numbers to reach internal extensions?

In that case, how many DIDs are involved?

What type of trunks and what are you connected to?

Last week I was testing with both Avaya Aura and IP Office systems using both QSIG and SIP.
Will DPNSS call divert it worked with QSIG on the Aura systems but not on IPO when forwarding calls on an Always.
With a transfer it worked with QSIG when the call was blindly transferred but not when announced.
Never worked with SIP.   Apparently no one is asking for that feature.  We opened a DPAR but if no one else expresses interest in fixing this it probably won't happen.

Here is an example.

All PBX are in a cluster with Ip Trunks
PBX A MXEIII rls 6.0
PBX B MXeServer rls 6.0
Nupoint connect to PBX B

Someone call PBX A on a PRI Trunk. (1234)
1234 is a speedial to Nupoint (Call FLow) connect to PBX B
Customer chose an option that will send him to an Acd Path to PBX A
The Agent ID that will take the call on an IP Phone is in PBX B.

When the call is establish, what is the path?  Is the path a---b are a---b----a----b
