Hello Everyone

I was just wondering how would I be able to modify the phone extension list when calling into the company's main number?

We access this menu by pressing 8 on the dial pad and then a message comes up and tells us all the staff members names/extensions.

When you call in it says you can dial the extension anytime you want. After it says press 8 for the firm directory or press 9 to dial by name.

After the names are said an automated person speaks saying "You may enter another extension now, for assistance press 0; Or to end this call simply hang up".

The phone extension list sounds like it was being verbally said all together as if it was some kind of greeting message, so I thought it would be in a mailbox.

I've looked everywhere but I cannot find it. I've tried these mailboxes:

Administrator (Ext. 999)
Operator (Ext. 2500#)
General Delivery Mailbox (Ext. 100)
Directory (Ext. 8#)

I've looked in all manuals/documentation and cannot find anything else on this.

Please help THANKS!! :)

What VM system?

So, someone is actually saying "For Mary press 101, for John press 102, for Joan press 103..."???

Yes exactly, someone is saying every name/extension. Do you know where I can make the change to make a new recording?

Assuming this is the embedded VM, check the main greeting, if not there then check mailbox 8... it will either be in that greeting or it will be a tranfer only mailbox to another mailbox, check that greeting.

If it is not the embedded VM in a SX-200ICP, then all bets are off, since you never said what VM system it is.
