ISDN30 Trunks
« on: February 19, 2013, 10:53:27 AM »
As you may have sussed, I'm a bit of a novice at this :)

I have installed a Dual t1/e1/pri card in a mitel 5000 hx controller.

I have a couple of questions, where do i programme the number of lines? and where do I tell them where the DDI's go.

I know these are basic questions and i'm sorry but the course is full so we are "getting creative" with the configs :)

I can't plug this into and isdn 30 yet as our office is fully sip and I can't turn the customer off to play nicely.

Regards

John

There are multiple steps to this...

You will need to configure the card in the System-Cabinets sections, then program the trunks individually (by a range is usually the easiest), then create a new trunk group and add the trunks into it, setup the trunk group to ring a Call Routing Table for day and night (separate ones work best), then program the DDI digits and there destinations... Now that will cover the incoming portion, the outgoing portion will vary depending on if they are accessing the trunk group directly or using ARS.
