caller ID with different area code on outbound call

To begin with, I am a rookie. I have a request to be able to make an outbound call and pass a custom number to the receiving party. We have a another line of business that has a separate identity. We do not want the called party to see the primary business name or number, but rather a custom name and phone number. Is that possible? If so I would need some specific details about how. The phones are 5330 and 5340 phones connected to a 3300 with a PRI.

My apologies if my post is not very clear or lacks needed technical info, but I may be able to provide additional infor if needed.

Let us know what version of software you are using.

If you have ver 4.0 or better (I think this came in 4.0) you can go to the 'Associated Directory Number' form create a new CPN association.
