COS t-1 trunks for camp on timer
« on: November 30, 2012, 10:34:27 AM »
I am trying to override the COS camp on timer (180 seconds).  I have our voice mail call tree sending calls thru a t-1 to a remote destination and camping on 4025 sets.  I have been trying to change or make the camp on timer turn off or keep camped on into infinity (or until answered).  Is there a way to do that in the class of service.  Possibly fool or override the system.

No.  The campon timer will expire.

Thanks Ralph for the info.  If our voice mail ports send calls to camp at the main facility (does not go thru the tie line) it does work and goes out into infinity.  I have been trying to play with the cos to get it do if the call is retained inside the building.  Both the Tie trunk COS and the Voice mail ports COS are set to 180 seconds.

I'm assuming you have analog loop trunks?  That's the only way I can think of that a call routed outside wouldn't use a timer.  When it hits an analog loop start trunk the PBX thinks the call was answered.
