voice -> email extremely buggy?
« on: November 06, 2012, 01:37:26 PM »
I have configured voicemail to email. I set it up on a test email account. Works good.

When I try to change where it's pointed and send it to a production email account, everything still sends to the old test email account...grr.

I have looked literally in every single possible folder in the PBX, there is NOTHING referencing to the test email address anymore. I even turned off SMTP and turned off forwarding and re-enabled hoping the settings would catch. Nope. Anyone know how long it takes for the PBX to sync with the new email settings? I cant believe there is no way to do a test on your settings. So ridiculous.

A little more info.

Under System - Email Gateways.

Admin email : Blank
Email address: Blank
Real name Blank
SMTP Port: 25
Email SMTP Server <192.168.x.x> (yes accessible)
Email system: SMTP (only option)
Email username: VOICEMAILBOX@ourcompany.com
Gateway Passwd: $#$#$#$#

Now in the mailbox -> email sync I have:

Enhanced Intergration
SSL yes ( we need it)
Email folder: INBOX
email server: BLANK (using the email server from the gateway above)
password: blank (same as above)
email account username : blank using the above too
Email address for VOICE MESSAGES: This is where I want to point it to a new email address. Never works. VOICEMAILBOX@ourcompany.com
Rest are default.

What the hell is going on here?

We use Exchange 2003, and it is working great.

My Email Gateway is set differently:
Admin email : voicemail@xxx.com
Email address: voicemail@xxx.com
Real name: Voicemail
SMTP Port: 25
Email SMTP Server <192.168.x.x>
Email system: SMTP (only option)
Email username: blank
Gateway Pass: blank

The problem is you are trying to use Enhanced Integration where Forward only or Copy and Forward should be used... to use Enhanced Integration you need to setup IMAP on your email server, and enter the USERS LOGIN and PASSWORD individually on each mailbox. Go to the Unified Messaging section of a Voicemail box and press F1 and read the help!
