Mitel 5000 BRM-2 Card
« on: October 08, 2012, 09:50:46 AM »
Does anyone know whether the BRM-2 card has a minimum software revision that it works on?

I've a 5000 running V2.2 that I think has a Faulty BRM-S card, swapped it for a BRM-2 card with no luck.

Hmmm... I see no mention of a BRM-2 card in any system documentation prior to Release 5.1, any reference to BRM before that was to a BRM-S card.

My best guess is that 5.1 is required to support it, but I cannot find anything to confirm that.

Yeah documentation is quite scarce on the BRM-2 card but we definitely have these cards running in V3+ systems so I know they are supported in older releases, just wondering how old a release!

Managed to source some BRM-S cards that i'm just about to test, fingers crossed.

The first build of software that supported the BRM-2 was 5.0 SP2. It was never tested and is not supported in previous versions to this.

That's a bit strange then as the BRM-2 was supplied before 5.0 SP2, in the UK at least!
