How to remove a Mitel 3300 from a cluster
« on: April 06, 2012, 10:45:53 AM »
I have a customer that shutdown an office and removed a 3300.
Does anyone know if there is a procedure to remove a system from a cluster?
How about a simple overview of removing a system from a cluster?

Ralph

I haven't removed one in a while (or under the new SDS model), but you should be able to delete the users from that site to remove them from the Tel Dir and then get rid of the CEID routes in ARS, IP trunks and then the two cluster forms.

Just as a warning it was normal for the network elements form to still have the PBX number there after it had been deleted. All of the information associated with it would be deleted but the PBX number would stay.

Your lucky, with ops database it's easyer. Remove all RDN's from that node then remove the route and remove from custer and network elements.

If it were for an SDS cluster then it would be fairly straight forward, but just hope that you don't have to add it back in later!

Hi Ralph,

If you've found any more info regarding this could you let me know. I have almost the same issue in except I'm on 10. All me errors point back to removing items from the remote directory form except this is read only I cannot.

Thanks
