Register 5302

Hi All,

I have a problem to register 5302 phone at the Mitel 3300 MCD 4.2 . When all the lights are flashing (after holding the * key) I put the right number followed by the # key PIN and # key (olso tried without a PIN).

The 5302 get's in a loop:

• Every light is ON
• Under light is flashing
• Under and middle light are flashing
• Every light is off
• Above and Under light are on
• Every light is on (again)

I have already put the 5302 in the same VLAN as the 3300.

Does anyone have an idea to get the 5302 working with the 3300 except the solution don't use the 5302  ?

Are you using a discovery protocol like CDP or LLDP? I think that they do not support it and would need an access port on the VLAN. I could be wrong and that was just the 5201s.

But I don't like to use any of the displayless phones.

Thanks for your message. I dont't use a discovery protocol. I already tried to put the 5302 in the access port on the VLAN (same VLAN as the 3300 and another VLAN). I can see the Mitel (DHCP server for the IP phones) give the device an IP and I can also ping the device.

I understand why you don't like to use the displayless phones.
