Call forwarding to an internal call forwarding list
« on: November 02, 2022, 05:45:47 AM »
Hello everyone,

I have a question about redirecting an internal number to a list of internal numbers in a specified order.

Example:

Telephone number 1: 220 (end device type: virtual telephone)
Telephone number 2: 221 (end device type: MiVoice 2380 IP)
Telephone number 3: 222 (end device type: MiVoice 2380 IP)

When someone calls #220 (Telephone number 1), we want them to be immediately and automatically redirected to #221 (Telephone number 2).
If #221 (Telephone number 2) does not answer within 5 seconds, call will be redirected to #222 (Telephone number 3).

Can I do something like that with Hotlines options list?

Is that possible?

Our telephone system: MiVoice Office 400.

Best regards,
Andrei

Maybe the function you are looking for is "User Group".
From your example:
Set the User group call number to 220, and add 221 and 222 as the group members.
Set call distribution (ringing) to Linear with 221 as first.
Take note that the call distribution delay is either 3, 5, or 7 rings before the call moves to the next member.

Hello Bojo387,

Thank you very much for the answer. I did as you wrote in the answer to this post and everything seems to work perfectly.

Do you have any idea how to change the call distribution delay (3, 5 or 7 rings)?
Default is 3 rings from what I have tested and observed and I would like to change to 5.

Thank you very much for your help.

Best regards,
Andrei

Hello Andrei,
That would be under Configuration > System > General > User Group.
You could also use the search function and type "delay". WebAdmin would give you all.the possible menus where it is available and lead you to what you need.
