Programming a new DID
« on: June 25, 2021, 02:21:13 PM »
Hi, I had my carrier add a new DID number to my existing SIP circuit.
I included the number in the Direct Inward Dialing form on my 3300, but its still not working.
I can't remember is there another form or additional programming I need to do?
Thanks

Did you add it to "SIP Peer Profile Assignment by Incoming DID"?

Bingo! Thank you!!
I added it, now the only strange thing is if I call that number and hang up....the line continues to ring
Any idea?

Usually a NAT or firewalling issue, although that wouldn't be my first suggestion if all you've done here is add one DID to a working SIP trunk.

Yeah its something else...I'm not the most knowledgeable but perhaps something with the PBX interpreting or receiving the command to terminate the call?
It rings endlessly after the caller hangs up

Just this number and others work from this provider? Reach out to your provider... Otherwise, get a trace, the BYE message isn't making it through somewhere.
