No outbound call through sip trunk (call drops immediately)
« on: April 13, 2021, 05:51:15 PM »
hello Mitel friends,

I just programmed an sip trunk on a Mitel 3300. Inbound calls are working but I am having issue with outbound calls.
when I dial the 9 for outside line and enter the 7 digits to dial the destination (mobile) it look like that the call is not going out of the pbx, this when I have the Public Access via DPNSS selected (yes) in the COS of the sip trunk and the extensions. When I dialed the last digit the call drops.

When the I have the Public Access via DPNSS selected (No) in the COS of the sip trunk and the extensions I get Access Denied on the extension

I checked the SIP Peer Profile and I have an Index that match the extension number and the CPN Substitution.
I put the ccs trace on and this is what I can see when dialing out.

Access denied = maybe a cor issue. Chech the cor of your Ars route and user cor

gimitel,

Go to your maintenance commands and use the DGT Trace command and put in the digits you are dialing on the phone; include the leading digit.

So for example if I am dialing 1-555-555-1234 then I would use the command DGT Trace 915555551234; if 9 is my leading digit for outgoing.

This should come back with a Digits Dialed Match as well as a chosen route that the call will go out of. If you don't then you don't have a route for that call to go out of so create one.

If it does provide a route then take a look at that route and change the COR of to 96; this will allow any calls out as you can't program it in the system. This also may depend on the COR you set in your Trunk Service as well; I typically set mine to a COR that isn't restricted and allow ARS to restrict users.

If the call goes out when using a COR that isn't restricting anyone then it is a COR issue.

Side Note: You should always have Public Access via DPNSS set to Yes for SIP Trunks; I haven't seen where this would not be the case so far.

You can also turn on SIP Traces on the MCD and then look at those to see if the call is being dropped at the SBC.

Access Denied in display of phone is a pretty clear indicator of a COR or COS issue.

hi Guys,

I did a DGT Trace and i can see the trace is following the path programmed in the route. I don't get any error on the DGT trace.
Inbound calls are okay. With DPNSS selected yes on don't get the Access Denied. When i dailed the last digit of the destination the call drop and emmediately and i get an dialtone again.

I the SMDR i can see the outgoing call records. I am going to use wireshark to see what happen when i made a call.

What country? Have you tried 10 or 11 digits if within NA?
