SX2000 database for 3300 migration
« on: August 30, 2018, 10:42:38 AM »
Guys,

How do I get a database backup off a SX2000 for a migration if I don't have OPS Manager? The PBX does not have any IP configuration so i am at a loss as to how to proceed now.

Any suggestions welcomed!

Thanks,
Gerry

You're going to end up programming the 3300 from scratch.

That is exactly what I have started to do already. The painful part of it is matching the analog devices to the new pinout format of the AX and ASU so that you don't have to do all the re-patching with the Per Mode J Connectors containing half of three cards.

How many cabinets? What does the card slot layout look like?

johnp,

Sorry I didn't realise you responded with a question... I got this all done with capturing a printout of the forms and importing the data into the CVS spreadsheets of the new PBXes. Went a hell of a lot smoother than I anticipated to be honest and the switchover to the MXe platforms from the SX2000 went pretty smooth expect that we had to do a bunch of cable work for the extensions as the new system had a lot less slots in total that the existing SX2000 cabinets had. Everything pretty much worked right off except for a number of rooms that had to be re-cabled.
